Who I Am

Hi, I'm Mike Hill, a photographer based in Des Moines, Iowa. I've been passionate about photography for years, drawn to the moments that tell real stories: the catch of light on a face, the blur of an athlete at full speed, the calm of a natural landscape, and the drama of fire in the dark.

My work spans portraits, events, sports, nature, and long-exposure fire photography. I love working with people and helping them feel comfortable in front of the camera, and I'm equally at home stalking wildlife in tall grass or shooting in the middle of a loud, crowded arena.
